I'm ranting sory i need to
let the flaming begin.
why don't people do anything to their suspension do people just not care about going around corners or making your car handle well. Drag racing is boring to be honest. try taking corners or having a very well handling car rather than throwing a whole bunch of money at the engine only. guess that's what kind of sucks about most American car enthusiasts is that we only seem to car about going in a straight line. That takes no skill. take as corner at 100+ that will raise the hair on your back more than firing straight down a lane. actually if you really think about it drag racing is even more boring than watching golf. (ohhh he beat him to that line down there yuk yuk yuk)
Just my 2 cents.

Mustangs weren't made to handle dude.....they are meant to go straight

Did you know the 03-04 Cobra IRS setup can be put into any 99+ Mustang?
I'm with paniro, There's more than one aspect to a car. Going fast in a straight line is just part of a vehicle.
whaaaa who told you that.
now a camaro yeah made to not handle so well (kind of long wheel base etc. but a mustang can handle it's actually the best of both worlds which is why i got my gt. camaro is a bit close monded if you will. who ever told you they were made to go straight don't know what they are talking about.

People don't challenge you to see who can take a corner faster, they challenge you to who is faster in a straight line. That's why I like it, but I also have my PGT for a corner slicing car.
& it does take skill to go in a straight line not as much in an auto, but shifting speed in a manual. & if you don't have any suspension work then it takes even more skill to keep the car going straight instead of sliding all over the place.

I think the only kind of racing that has turns and looks fun (and expensive) as HELL is drifiting, otherwise going in straight line is more for me. After I get my tranny work done though I'm going to do suspension work and see how quick I can get it to go in a straight line with just suspension and tranny work hoping to dip into the low 14s.
makes no sense to me going in a str8 line takes about couple seconds. How is that fun. Road racing takes a minute or so to get around the track. takes more skill to shift up then down up and etc. keeping the engine in it's sweet spot while not just shifting up but down also to get in good on the next corner. Straight line racing to me really just sucks *** all the way around. ever notice how you see fat **** drag racers. yet when people are road racing you have to be in good shape physically and also have a car where everything is important and not just the motor and tranny. takes REAL tuners to get a car totally in tune and not just one aspect of the car.
