Default Brake light on dash panel

Whenever I brake hard the brake light comes on. During normal braking the light stays off. During hard braking the light comes on. I do not feel anything through the brake pedal or steering wheel. THe car does not pull to any side. The car feels fine during all types of braking. Any idea what it might be?

Like GreyStang said check your Fluid levels.

Other than that there might be a wire or something loose, not sure? Do you use your E-Brake a lot? If so did you ever damage it in any way? I dont know if your braking hard a lot but I would try not to do that so much. It will wear down your brake pads like nothing and it also reduces mpg (so I've heard)... it's hard on any car to do that.

I agree that your fluid is probablyl low but, don't just "top it off" if it is. It most likely means that your pads are worn.
