Default what engine swap should i do

ok well i have a 1990 mustang...its 4 cylinder auto...now the things is that i want do an engine swap of course because this engine is just slow as **** and i hate it...now i want to do a 2.3T swap with a 5 speed swap and i have a guide to so but its kind of hard to find a turbo coupe for a cheap price...there is also the 5.0 swap but the thing is that it will take a lot more effort and everything but its a little harder to do that swap....the things is that a 5.0 is a little easier to find...now which would you do...keep in mind i'm a 17 year old kid...so gasm atters and i don't have all the time in the world...also if i have a 5.0 i'm ****ing insane some times and it may be a little to much power...just keep that in mind...thanks for your input

doing the 2.3T swap will do nothing for u. you will have nowhere to advance the power to and it will be near impossible to find parts for.

if u do the 302 (or, better yet, 351W) swap you will have parts readily available, possibilities to get very high HP if u want to, and it really isnt that hard to do. so i vote 351W

Forget about the 2.3l turbo they suck!Just throw in a 302 it is much easier and probably cheaper too.

forget the turbo.go 351.you can make more easy power with it than a 302.i have one in my merc.wont trade it for the world.find you an old police interceptor mercury marquis(like i did)and let the 302 a#$ kicking begin

I say get a 302. You can find one in good condition at any junk yard and it shouldn't cost you more than $250 for the engine.

get the 347 stroker motor, or get the 302 and get the kit to stroke it to a 347 and get a Tremec T-5 5 speed.

ok now how is the gas milage on a 302....i mean compare it to my little 4 banger...

also...i mean there is more fab work when doing the 5.0 swap...i know i have to weld motor mounts and trans mounts but what else will i have to weld...also i need to get a welder because i don't have one now...i do'nt know much about welders but i have used one before but my dad knows how to use them very well...

oh ok...so the mounts i can just bolt on the car...so i don't need to weld anything at all...

trans, motor and anything else just unbolts...well then...thats nice as hell
