alright everyone, i asked this in the V6 forum section, but no answers, so i figured id try it here. gettin headers for the stang. was lookin at a bunch of headers and one kind the JBA Shorty Headers, i noticed it was like with air injection or without air injection. my first time every hearing about air injection. what is this all about? ive got a 1998 v6 convertible

 

what does your car have air injection..? if so you need the one with it..

 

im guessing they are asking about a blower or a turbo cuz if you had one of those then youd prolly want headers with a bigger diameter.

Air injection is an emissions thing. I don't know how it's setup on these cars, but sometimes it's a small hole near the exhaust port, sometimes it's a hole in the exhaust manifold... Just depends...

 

Yes...the air injection is referring to injecting air into the exhaust system from the air pump. I don't know how the V-6's are but my 5.0 injects the air downstream of the headers. You'll have to go out and look at your car to determine which headers.
