Default Replacing fuel filter

I'm trying to replace the fuel filter on my 2000 V6. Can anyone tell me how you remove the old one please. Is it just a matter of brute force or is there a technique to it.

I removed the little clips as well as the hose clamp holding it on but couldn't remove the fuel line from the filter.

Once you remove those white clips, its just a matter of pulling the rubber lines from either side of the filter and undoing the bandclamp around the body of the filter

Mine has a metal pipe that goes into the filter. There seems to be some rubber ring in the filter that holds the filter on.
