This 70W80 GL-4 Gear Oil (SAE 5W30/10W30 engine oil viscosity) is designed for use in manual transmissions and transaxles. Provides excellent protection of gears and synchronizers and its balanced slipperiness provides a perfect coefficient of friction, allowing easier shifting. Popular in many BMW transmissions and in most Honda and Acura transaxle applications.

nah it's all straight forward. if your using a new clutch make sure you keep everything clean that can mess up a new clutch also break it in before you start doin hard launches. i know after all that hard work you want to whip it and hear the second gear chirp the tires but you should kick back for about 50 miles so the clutch has time to break in.

again man get a second opinion on gear oil i've heard it's not good for your tranny and all the manuals say use atf.

Ok thanks I will do that. But no im not using a new clutch I didnt even take the bellhousing off just the tranny. So when I put in the new Shifter its just basic bolt on? Dont have to worry about lining anything up?

Hey, I'm not sure who's advice you're taking, but make sure you use automatic transmission fluid. Do not use regular gear lube like with most other manual transmissions. For the T-5, you actually do have to use ATF. This is straight from Ford, not just my opinion.
