Lightbulb Second stereo delete idea?

Well in my 99 stang there is a double stereo. I have a Pioneer in the top spot, and now the bottom has no purpose. I had an idea: If I could put a box in there that could have a clear door that could open and close somehow so i could put random things in there (for example, sunglasses) and could maybe wire a blue neon light in the back and a whole to run a USB cord, PA microphone, etc. I was wondering if anyone could make a write up or knew how to do this. I know its a big idea, and me being 17, have no idea how to even atempt this. ANY help or ideas are appreciated.

Thanks.

I say put a switch panel there. The compartment would be too small for anything really practical. If you dont have anything to wire up, wire all the headlights, taillights, liscense plate lights, brake lights onto this panel, so you can go super stealthy at the flip of a bunch of switches. Not that that serves any (legal...) purpose, but its kinda cool!

My opinion, take it as you like.

As simple as it sounds, making a little compartment like that can take a bit of fab skills.

Youve struck my curiousity though, and i am making a trip to walmart later tonight. Ill get back to you.

you can get a CD tray in black for it. I know that, my friend has a pioneer CD player in the top and a CD case replacing the CD player that was supposed to be at the bottom. Use that, cut the CD slots off, and stick it in there.

Well, that's the info i can't tell you. Me and my buddy bought ours in August as early gard gifts and his came with the delete tray. You can check around, but i haven't seen any on ebay. Their is an item on ebay that turns it into a gauge cluster but that's about it. GL.
