Default Tint Fine in VA

Sorry i didnt know where else to put this. I got pulled over in loudon county VA. the only thing the cop had on me was "your windows are too dark". i metered in at 13%. Anyone know what my fine will be? I tried going to the court website and calling but they just run you around in circles and dont tell you anything.

Go to the court prepared to pay the fine.
If you can't afford the amount ask for an extension on the time or even a payment plan.

Darker than legal tint is just one more reason for the cops to pull you over and fatten the county's bank account. You must have known this before you had the tint installed or bought the car with the tint in place.I know it looks good and I'd have darker tint myself but I don't want the police to pull me over everytime they see me either.I don't know about where you live but around here once they get you the first time they know who you are and will bust you every day until you give up and have the dark tint removed.

I deal with that by just going to my eye doctor and getting them to sign a medical tint waiver form that says I'm sensitive to light, then taking that to the DMV. When it's authorized, if a cop pulls you over for tint, you just show them the waiver and they leave you be.

where in loudoun do you live? you shouldn't really go darker than 35 all around (50 on front, 35 on back is legal limit). i don't know anybody that has ever gotten pulled over for 35 all around. i never have and have been next to plenty of cops when i was in my stang and actually got complimented on how good it sounded.

I got pulled over last week for a tinted license plate! I told the cop I had no idea they were illegal. He said he would let me off with a warning. You can't put clear covers on your license plate. I told him why aren't things such as this caught when the car is inspected? He said even tinted windows that are not legal pass because they are not part of the inspection process.
To me, that is bull crap! How are we supposed to know what is illegal if the inspection stations fail to warn us?

Here in CA, if you get the ticket signed by a cop, its just a $10 fine.
