car : 1986 grand marqus
well the lights were left on over night, tried to jump start the car and the battery was already bad so i sent my brother to get a new one. he brought back a battery for a 1998 grand marquis, the car started up fine, but the battery was too big so i sent him back to exchange it for the proper battery for the 1986 grand marquis. put the exchanged battery in and the car won't start again.. the dash lights come on, but the car won't turn over, it really doesnt make any noise when you turn the key except the fuel pump engages. could this new battery from the store be dead from sitting o nthe shelf for too long?
