Default Installing shift boot

Im going to install a Pilot Motorsports shift boot in my 95 gt, I've pulled a little of the boot out but im guessing its not gonna come out as easy as I thought, Its lined up under then paneling, im not sure if i should just use all my force and pull or does this panel come off easy, and then im just hoping the shift boot will strech right over the bottom plate.

Is that the boot he is talking about? I thought he meant the actual boot you can see from inside the car.....the one that is attached to the console.

i thought he was talking bout the boot that you can see inside the car too the leather one. that one is very easy to change. i jus changed mine to carbon fiber. but the transmission boot, the rubber one on the transmission is jus bolted on very simple too.
