Default E-brake... frozen??

So its been ridiculously cold here in Virginia over the last couple days... and even cold still at night.
Andd... last night, pulling up on a driveway, the e-brake suddenly wasn't right. When pullin it, there was no real resistance and it wouldn't hold the car on the driveway (It's a relatively steep incline)

I... suspect it could possibly be frozen? ...Although I don't really feel any resistance while driving (as I would if I was an idiot and had the e-brake on while driving). I have no idea I'm not a tech head.
I was hoping to get some answers here.
Do I take it to the shop or is this thing gunna fix itself? (...like anything ever does )

I just replaced a cable on an 07 last week. The right side rear was locking up.. There are 2 cables that split off the main e-brake cable from the handle, its either one or both of those being faulty. Find out which 1 is stickin, or just replace both if you have the $$... They arent hard to do at all

Heres the part numbers: 6R3Z-2A635-D (left) 6R3Z-2A635-C (right)

Thanks for the replies, guys.

The problem seems to have fixed itself - it still wasn't working this morning but... when I got back home it was back to normal and working fine

buuuut now it feels like something I should look into... if its as simple as the 2 cables anyway.
