302 or 351?
I have been drag racing with a 4 cylinder turbo charged import for a couple of years now and have now decided to build a fox body mustang. I just purchased a 92 hatch. The car came with a full roll cage, weld drag lites, tubular k-member and A arms, full lakewood suspension (coilover in front, springs in rear), an auburn build 8.8 rear end, aluminum driveshaft, and a brand new tremec tko600 trans. I would like to do a stoker motor, but what do I build, a 347 stroker or a 408? I would like to end up in the 700whp range eventually with nitrous. I want to stay efi cause i dont know much about carbs, and find it easier to just tune with my computer. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both blocks? I have seen both 347s and 408s in that hp range. Why should I build one over the other? Your imput would be greatly appreciated!

Well what class are you looking to run? What ETs?
347s have been known to have oiling issues.... If your dead set on using nitrous, then I'd go with a stroked windsor. If it was my car, I would build a 302 to ~311, toss a vortech YSi blower on it, and call it a day in the Renegade class.
This subject is tough, and one you should really make yourself, not ask a bunch of random people online lol. Its your $$, how do you want to spend it

I understand that it is my money and ultimately my decision on what I build, I just want to know issues like what you were speaking of with oiling problems in the 347. I want to make sure that my build is heading in the right direction and that I am not duplicating others mistakes. As far as et's, I would like to run low 9's.

you will have to get a aftermarket block to make that kind of HP with a 347 with the 351 block you could use a stock block that is the big issue. the block... it would be easier to make more HP with more CID also.
