Have a 96 mustang gt. when i go to shift at high rpm's it wont go into gear right away and the shifter vibrates really bad. almost feels like something in the tranny is off balance. any ideas if it might be crankwalk?

 

It's probably worn out synchronizers.You can try draining the fluid and looking for metal but even that won't tell you a lot,unless there's a lot of metal.

 

+1...drain the fluid and see what's going on...Aftermarket shifter?
