All well and good, but if this person is really "broke", $500 is alot of money. He may be looking for other cheaper ways to increase his performance a little here and a little there. Kinda like advancing the timing, using a K&N filter, etc., etc. You guys out there should know a whole host of tricks to get good easy HP out of a carbed engine. Larger carb jets? Give it some thought.

I forgot to mention one other thing. It was always my experience with carbed engines that I could pick up good HP gains by putting on long tube headers. There are many brands out there that won't break the bank and I think his year Mustang isn't as hard to make the swop as the later year Stangs.

Good point but I think they are considering the Dollar cost per HP. Larger jets would cost what?? (Not a clue here so I dunno) For maybe 10-15HP plus you can't go too big on the jets without changing the cam/heads otherwise it's a waste. K&N by itself runs $35-50 for maybe 3 or 4 HP that's almost the same price per HP for the NOS.
