Default Vibrating CLutch Pedal. Please Help

Hey all,
I am a newbie here. I just got a 2002 Mustang V6 with a 5spd. I have one problem with it. The clutch pedal is vibrating when I push it in the first half an inch and there is a little squeaking coming from the engine compartment when it’s pressed that half an inch. When I go all the way down its fine. The tranny shifts through all the gears and the clutch seems to be ok, not grinding, not too high, not too low. What could be the problem? The car has 60000 miles on it. Is the clutch going or its something simple? Let me know guys. Thanks for your help in advance.

sounds like a throw out/release bearing.

How hard it is to replace it and how much it will cost me? Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

the bearing is only about $35 but a Ford dealer will charge you over 3 hours labor to re & re the tranny.

personaly that sounds more like a warped cluch disk. throw out bearing would do it the entire time the cluch was disengaged and would have an constat loud squeeling sound. it sounds like the transmision will have to be removed and while its out you would be smart to replace everything not just the dammaged part, the parts are cheep compaired to the labor cost of the re-re, my estimte would be your looking at 4-500 to have a shop do it
