Default forged internals or no?

I am to forum but will most likely be asking alot of questions. I have a 1992 5.0 that is bone stock with 163,000. I just ordered a vortec s trim supercharger and was told it is going to fry my pistons, but was told this by a non mustang owner. He suggested putting forged internals. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

A 92' 5.0 has factory forged pistons..but that's besides the point. A properly tuned supercharger or any other kind of forced induction won't fry pistons regardless of being forged or not. After you install it just make sure to have it properly tuned.

i dont think that they do. im not 100% on that though.

i believe that they changed over to hypereutectic pistons in 90 or 91.

A rebuild wouldnt hurt, thats a lot of miles.....

But on the same hand I've seen it done before....

But if you dont have another daily driver I would be careful with it.....

'92 DOES Have Forged Pistons!! ...I'm not sure how much boost I'd pump through 162k miles...might need to re-build before long! S-trim makes pretty good power!
