Default 4.10's or 3.73's ?

I am debating between getting 4.10 or 3.73 gears. I have a carburated 306 with a F303 cam in my '88 mustang. I just wanted to know what gear ratio to go with. The car is my weekend toy so I am not to worried about fuel economy or highway cruising.

This always turns into a big argument but i would go with 4.10s... At about 2300 rpm or so i am at about 70, not to bad IMO.. 3.73s werent enough for me so i had to go 4.10s... Keep in mind you will need a good tire to hook well...

when you say that you are at 2300 rpm, you mean in fifth gear right?

Other factors to take into consideration is whether or not your car is an auto or manual. The general rule of thumb (for daily driving) is that autos should stick to 3.73s and Manuals can go with 4.10s.
