For 1/4 mile times ur MUCH better off with 3.73's or 4.10's if ur n/a. If ur blown or juiced 3.55's are good. And the stock manual trannys come with 3.08's. So id just sell those for more money , then grab some 3.73's. They're great on the street and dont affect highway driving too much.

As 91LX said...I would go 4.10s at the track if you're a manual. Otherwise, I'd go 3.73s if auto. If you're blown/nitroused then taller gears may be too much for the track.

you will probly want 3.27's or 3.08's for a 460. Even if it's not that built they are torque monsters and like to rev low and PULL. I have a 425CI in my '78 caddy with stock 2.28's (posi). The motor is slightly cammed with flat tops and 4BBL, and it still breaks the tires loose when you stomp it at 30-40 kph. The motor makes it's power from 1500- 4000 RPM's.
