Default Dash Brake Light Indicator Won't Go Off

Hello all,
I am at my wits end. I have a 1969 Mach 1, 428cj, auto. I have tried everything I know to cancel the "brake" indicator light on my dash. I have bled brakes multiple times and have replaced the proportioning valve with an original, reconditioned piece. The indicator is still on. Any thoughts?
Much appreciated,
ceswert

I'm pretty sure ground is what signals that light to come on. The proportioning valve will ground if the brake fluid system is unbalanced. Like when you blow a brake line. Or the parking brake is on. Unplug these first.
