Aftermarket K-Frames???
I want to install an Aftermarket K-Frame and I see that some say that you can use the factory control arm but what about the spring?? Do you have to change to coil overs??? I've look at a few different supplier and none of them(K-Frames) have upper spring pockets. so is it possible to use factory springs??? Thanks
What are the goals for your ride and why are you looking for a new "K" member install?
Installing a new tube "K" and NOT re-placing the stock "A" arms, is not getting the full benifit of the upgrade. The stock "A" arms are flexable and have soft rubber bushings allowing less than ideal handling. Most aftermarket "K"s are going to require their own "A" arms, but don't have a spring perch. This means you probably need to make a decision on going CO's or not.
There is no disadvantage to going CO's except for cost. You will get a much better wheel rate and hence a nicer ride and better handling if you choose wisely. You will also get a wonderful array of height adjustments to go from snakes-belly to Mac truck if you like.
I would contact MM as they can ask the questions you need to answer to get one. There are generally two directios to go. One for 1/4 mile applications and one for street/cornering.

Thanks the car was hit and the only thing out to lunch is the k-frame. Car is not anything more than a street car so cost is a factor. I will just pull a stock k-frame from a parts car Thanks again
