i have a 1990 mustang 5.0, 5-speed, i recently cleaned the MAF sensor, throttle body, to fix my idle problems, i have noticed that the car has a slight hesitation when revving at an idle, and tonight i drove the car kindove hard, and i noticed that it isnt really performing like it should. from a dead stop the car doesnt seem to get up and go like it should. RE: car not performing right!!!!
You have to be very careful when you clean your MAF sensors. They are delicate and can damage easily. If you have damaged them at all, your call will run rough. In that case, you will need to buy a whole new MAF. A bad IAC and/or O2 sensors can also cause all kinds of grief with your engine. Best bet so you don't go wasting lots of time and money in the wrong direction is to get your engine scoped. The readout should tell the tale.
