Cold Air Intake Help
I recently took off my stock intake to put on an intake that was purchased off of ebay a while ago....I know that was the first mistake.. it was actually a gift and i didn't want to hurt my grandmother's feelings.. so now that it has been on for a couple of months and she has seen it, its time to get a good cold air intake because that one actually cut my mpg down from the previous 28 i was getting on the highway to 23/24 and mpg is the main importance considering i drive my car 84 miles of highway a day to get back and forth from my job. Anyone have suggestions into which cold air intake is better or if once you get into the K&N's. AEM's.. and BBK's they are just about equal. any suggestions or information from personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
...I'm not convinced the CAI is causing the drop in MPG...it's the weather...I'm losing 5 mpg with my Honda right now...colder/moist air needs more fuel, + all the warm up time!
...But anyways, have you looked into a JLT CAI?

JLT FTW! I love mine, the only downside is it does take some finangling to get it all lined up since you are dealing with that massive piece of pipe. But well worth the effort IMHO. Also, with the winter months come the winter blends of fuel, that also effects mpg because of how it burns.
