Default AC doesnt kick on

Anyone know why this would happen..i turn the switch and it blows air but the ac compressor wont kick on...???

Most likely it's low on freon.

There's a limit switch that won't let the compressor run unless there is enough pressure in it.

my dad said it might be a clutch im not too sure but i know one thing im hott as **** in the car!!!

Best thing to do is have it recharged. If its a newer model then it uses R134A and you can buy that in any local parts store. If you charge it and the compressor doesnt kick on then it needs a new compressor most likely. Go the cheap route first and try recharging it.

The pressure switch can go bad in these systems.If adding freon doesn't help,you can use a jumper wire to force the compressor to operate.I don't know which connection to jump however,sorry.

if it's on your 04, go yell at the dealer. It should be warranty.
