Default 2000 GT I need an engine!!!!!!

Well everyone here is my story: I recently bought this Mustang and it has been headache after headache. I need to find a used engine for it. Everyone I speak to gives me different advice as to which motor will drop in. So I am turning to you forimers to help I know the original engine has an 8 bolt flywheel. I am aware of the PI head for this engine. Some have said any 4.6 will work, well we tried that now I have an extra 4.6 paperweight I can't do anything with. If someone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate the help. I've been quoted prices across the map. Obviously price is a factor as I am already upside down financially speaking in this car.
