does the permanent air filter that comes with the steeda cai need to be oiled or cleaned regularly?

i cant find any literature on this online and though i might ask you guys!

I would clean it every 5-10,000 miles. If anything, just spray it off with an air hose, but try not to get it too close to the filter. Also, K&N cleaner kit works well.
