Does anyone have the slp loudmouth shotgun exaust?
I am going to buy the slp loud mouth shotgun mufflers and I was wondering if anyone here has them or has had them on their car so I know if it is better to pull the packing out of them or leave it in because I saw on the website that you can use them either way?
Thanks

The shotguns are LM1's and they have no packing in them. They are just resonators. The bullet style are the LM2's which have packing. You can pull the packing out, i know Chubstang has what he calls LM1.5's which is just LM2's with some packing removed. It sounds good, but I am biased to the sound of the LM1's.
Edit: also, SLP has designed their cat-back to be totally modular. you can switch between all three muffler styles without having to change the whole system. also, their full size x-pipe can be made into a shorty x for their LT headers. That is why I love SLP.

Not sure I understand. LM1's are just resonators with no packing in them. Pretty much a muffler with no guts. A muffler muffles the sound, a resonator, well resonates. They are loud as hell esp when bolted up against a O/R X pipe. The LM2's are not as loud because they have packing inside the resonators which dampens the sound...... Finally, I found it, check out chubstangs vids on this post. https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6-...ml#post6012225
