I have a truck right now and it sucks cause its a four cylinder and i want to get another stang as my everyday car but i already have a 86 gt i dunno if i should get a older year stang like a 90-93 gt or maybe a 96-98 cobra or gt i can't decide. i know i want power and something that could get me decent gas mileage for the right price too.

 

i would definetly get 96-98 gt or cobra.my buddy had a 93 gt and it looked good and all but it got real bad gas milage like maybe 7miles to the gallon if he was lucky we recently found him a used 96 cobra with 53000 miles on it got a real good deal on it only $11,900 he gets about 19 miles to the gallon not bad for 350 horsepower.i have a 96 gt and i get about 20-21 miles to the gallon mine has 93000 miles on it and runs great. the only real big difference between the 2 are horsepower a little bit of looks and gas prices the cobra takes 91 octane or higher which is about 20 cents a gallon more than regular gas. also if your wanting decide which to get call your insurence place and ask for price differnces they sould be to much difference betwwen the 96-98 cobra or gt but you sould definetly get a newer model 1 for alot of rasons

 

7 mpg is not common on fox bodies, that's really bad. Something was majorly wrong with that car. The 96-98 Cobra's are cool though, all aluminum DOHC block.Makes that badass gurgling exhaust tone. I like that body style, too bad they didn't come with IRS. My buddy's about to pick up a white 98 with a genuine Saleen body kit for $15,000
