The battery was disconnected then reconnected now the car does not crank no sound of starter or any fire to motor.
Everything electrical works lights,radio, dashboard but there was an old alarm system, its been disconnected ,but the red light to the alarm in front of the gear shifter blinks there is also a clicking noise around the steering wheel inside the dashboard.
Any clues on whats going on?

 

This car is my moms I just took the bottom part of the dash off that is below the steering wheel.The clicking sound is coming from the main box for the alarm. She told me that seven years ago my stepfather disabled the alarm but he cut the wires going to the horns.

 

The alarm probably wasn't totally disabled and might have been programed to disable the starter if the system lost power. I'd look for a reset or something...
