Cruise control not working?

Cruise control not working?
I have an '06 manual GT. The cruise control only works occasionally. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Also, when I plugged the diagnostic machine into the car I was given P0765 and P1754 error codes which apparently are 'shifter solenoid' and 'coast clutch solenoid malfunction' respectively
I am based in the UK so don't have an official dealer to go to! Your help is appreciated. Thanks.
