Talking headlight questions

Is there anyway to take off the len covers to the headlights without breaking them? I wanted to clean them up and try to save my self some money. what type of adhesive would i use to make sure they don't come off after i put them back on?

Are they dirty inside or just yellowed on the surface? If just yellow, they can be polished back, just search for it and youll find out how.

If you really want to open it up, you can stick it in the oven to melt the adhesive then pry it apart. Dont put it on too hot, cause youll melt and warp the lens

Make sure you scrape off all of the old material before you try and reseal it. Theres several different types of adhesive/sealers you can use.

I dont want to say how hot or how long because I dont want to be responsible for any damage.. Seems like something to show up in court one day... try searching the net, Ive seen it around before. My friends have all done it, I just dont remember the specifics. Are replacements really that much $?

i would never take someone to court over me asking a question, that would be childish but i understand your concern. not that they are that much just trying to save what ever little money we can. I will look around and hopfully find something. thanks.

thanks and yeah if figured that you were joking. I went to the parts store to get some selant for the one that fell off and was talking to an old friend of mine, she said that they might have a set of new ones that i could have. i told her that i would have to give her something because i couldn't take it for free (i could but wouldn't feel right) they are brand new after all. Thanks for you help. are you still looking for some heads? what kind? I will ask if she has any laying round (they have 6 pony's) and i'll let you know.
