Question Replacing LCAs

Hello all you mustang freaks
I am about to swap out my lcas and have a question about lifting the car In the directions it says to jack up the car but i have to keep a load on the suspension so if i jack the car and put jack stands under the rear axle would that be the same as the wheels touching the ground i looked under the car and it dont look like anything will come flying out like springs and stuff but i dont want to mess anything up so i joined this forum site to try and get some answers with all the articles ive read in here you guys seem to know all there is to know about this stuff any feedback is appreciated
Thanks Dave

well your lower control arms are what hold the rear end in place really..so putting the axle on jacks in my mind was a nono. i jacked up the car on the subframe connectors..swapped out the LCA's but the bolts were not tightened all the way..then with the weight on the rear tires finished tightening..someone correct me if im wrong..however thats how ive done it in the past and seen it done.

Well i got them done only took a couple hrs jacked up the car put it on jack stands at the factory lift spots subframe assy then lowered on to jacks and then jacked the rearend to ride height which i marked with a marker before jacking they came off and went on with no complications what so ever It was very easy i just never did them before it makes me nervous each time i try something new on the cars oh well live and learn
