hey people i need some help trying to idenify the engine i have in my 88 stang. im new to the mustang scene ive been into imports the last 8 years. but anyway ive been told by a few people that is a 302 and a couple has told me its a 351w then yesterday someone told me its both 351 topend and a 302 bottom?? is there visual diffrences or casting #s i can look up or how can i go about figureing this out????

 

The easiest way at glance is to see if you can access the bottom thermostat housing with a socket. If you can it's a 351 if you can only get a wrench in there then it's a 302/289

 

thanks man i cant get a socket on it so i guess i got a 302 ..lol
