Default throttle body and mufflers

im lookin into buying a new throttle body, is a 70mm the biggest size that i can go with a stock manifold? ive read that with 75mm it requires porting on the upper intake. what is the best throttle body? ive looked at bbk, edelbrock, and holley on summit racing and edelbrock so far looks to be the best. for mufflers i was lookin to put on flowmaster super 40's. they have the sound that i want jus ive been doing sum research and found that they arent the best performing by a couple horsepower, this isnt too big of a issure for me, but what are other good sounding mufflers but still offer good performance? thanks

if your running the stock manifold,65mm will be big enough. if you go too big you will loose power.

not with the stock intake. i believe that the stock intake opening is only something like 63mm. so if you got anything over a 65mm tb you'd have to do some grinding.

dynomax mufflers are a good performance muffler. straight through design. check out there website. do you still have the stock h-pipe. you could find some power with an aftermarket mid pipe.

what mods do you have now?

both are reputable manufacturers, edelbrock has been around the longest, so I'd go with them.

yeah nice call on it, ive seeen on here for the list of mods on sum users that they have a 70mm tb n dont mention anything about problems with it. im almost thinking of jus takin my throttle body off and measureing the port to jus make sure. what do u think about mufflers tho? i still think flowmaster super 40s, they arent the most performance wise sound but they sound so good and thats what i was after with the exhuast because i wasnt expecting any hp over 5 for mufflers.
