Please someone let me know what the difference is. (on the older engines) Isnt a 289 the same as a 302 but the without the 302 heads? Thats what i've been told. If so when you put 302 heads on doesit make your engine pretty much into a 302??

 

i belive just the stroke is different , the block demensions are the same , you can bolt 302 heads on there ,
