Default Mechanical problem

95 Mustang GT - Over the past few weeks I've been having problems starting my Mustang. Sometimes it's fine and starts right up, but other times it takes several cranks (or even more) before it starts. While driving around, the radio periodically will blink off for about 5 seconds. Also, the check engine light comes on about one fourth of the time while driving, but turns off when I come to a complete stop. Occassionally the air bag light will pop on. Other than that, the car seems to run fine. I tested the battery and it's good. The dealer can't even find the problem. Any adivce?

Sounds like there is a bad ground somewhere.

Another problem... The dealer finally found my original problem - it was a bad coil that needed to be replaced. So I had it repaired, but now a new problem appeared!

The car seems to run fine, but then when I come to a stop I put it in neutral and just have my foot on the break. But, the RPM still reads at 2 and it sounds like the car is running the engine very strongly (almost reving the engine). Usually in neutral the RPM reads between 0 and 1. It is very strange - any advice? Do you think when I had the original problem fixed, this happened? Anyone have any more info on Auto Zone? Thanks!!!!

Id take the car back to the dealer and tell em the idle is unusually high, tell him it happend after you got your car repaired there. They should fix it free of charge, or at least diagnose it for free. Your idle should be no more than 650-750 RPM, not 2000. And djs advice is good check for a bad ground somewhere, theres too many problems with your car for it to be the computer, theres too many systems that are malfunctioning at the same time to be a bad computer. Like the airbag and check engine light are 2 seperate systems. Hope this helps.

I had the IAC cleaned out the idle problem went away, but now my car is having problems starting again. Very strange!

The check engine light no longer comes on and the fuel pressure tests fine. I wonder if the battery test was wrong?
