Default Peg leg 2002 Gt

so ive had my 2002 Gt for about a year now. it has 61,000 miles on it. I tried doing a burnout today (dont worry it was in an enclosed parking lot at work) and it just spun one tire.. what causes this? can i warranty it since im paying for the $3k warranty?

You will only spin 1 tire unless you have a locker gear setup. You have an open gear setup. I would ask in the 4.6 section of the forums about it just to confirm.

Ok, I was wrong. I know nothing about newer cars, so I'm glad someone else posted up.

Clutches are worn. Even when they are new. The Trac Lok system is not that strong to hold both axles together.

thanks everybody for the help. another question, could it be that i did a burnout on mickey thompsons so the clutches couldnt hold cuz of how sticky the tires are? when i was at the track 2 weeks ago i was spinning both tires.

Definately part of the problem. Try it on water or be more aggressive to start the burnout.

Stick a Detroit True Trac in it, limited slip with high bias, but no clutches to wear out.
