Can Some of you out there post some sotries of good or bad races that you have experienced?

 

I went to the san diego legal races and the mustangs were creamed only cause there was a viper and some other expensive italians. It was sad, but they still be the pants of the civics.

 

I've eaten quite a bit of smoke (tire smoke, mind you) from the local modded 5.0's.



The 4.6's (stock), with a normal driver (around here, that means really bad) I can usually hang with or beat if I'm lucky.



The 6's....well, they're honestly too slow.



Never ran a 4.

 

I earned myself my first speeding ticket last year racing a 70's Dodge Charger. I just had put my blower on my Mustang and was ready to give it a try. At a busy intersection (stupid!) this souped up bright yellow Charger (similiar to the one in Fast in Furious. no blower though.) pulls up next to me at the light. His car sounded healthy with Flowmasters and was running big and little tires. The light turned green and away we went. I left on him by a about a car length and by second gear I could hear him rowing through the gears and gaining on me. By 3rd gear we were door to door and I had to lift finally because I was maxed out in 3rd and didn't want to blow up my 4th gear (AOD). He continued past me going 110+mph. About a half mile down the road a local cop pulled up next to me and said "follow me". He was pissed. He pursued the Charger and got him to pull over. 3 cops finally came and I was screwed. Luckily they didn't speed gun us and I claimed ignorance to how fast I was going. Hmm, maybe 60? I ended up with a 60 in a 45 zone. Could have been much worse. The race was worth it though. We both gave each other a thumbs up at the end.

 

How much horsepower do you have?

 

You get your car impounded and possibly license taken away here in San Diego if you race on the street and get caught. A few people have died standing on the side line at night races around here, so they made new laws for the races, the people who flag them, and the people who watch.

 

I'm not for sure on the HP figures. I'm going back to the track soon for another qtr mile blast. From the mods I've done I believe it's easy a 12.00/12.20 car. Probably close to 400RWHP. That Charger wouldn't stand a chance now.
