powerflash/check engine codes??

powerflash/check engine codes??
well i cleared the check engine light and turned off the rear sencors and after i drove a little while it came back on. if i turned them off why does this code come back???? i have no cats and the wiring to one rear sencor was bad b4 i got the mid-pipe. so i thought just turning it off would eliminate the check engine light. what is going wrong????????????
