Hmm.... I did the calculations myself though and I got slightly different numbers. Keep in mind that I'm not totally sure what transmission is in the 2000 V6, but I believe it's the T-45? Anyway assuming that's correct, with my 15 inch (getting replaced soon) 205 width tires I would be making 2751 RPM in 5th gear running at 65. Did I calculate something wrong?
Read my post again...I did your calculations in 4th gear. 1:1 gear ratio because you didn't list which tranny you had.

Get the gears dude. You'll love them.

i have 3.73s, its really not that bad at all. definitely not at 3500 rpms either. and your top speed is not really much lower, but if you keep the speed governor on you will hit the 115 mark A LOT faster than with the stock gears. im pretty sure i can hit 115 in 4th gear, but i dont exactly drive 115 on a daily basis so dont take my word for it. if you get gears you will need your computer flashed so your speed is not incorrect, and usually people buy a flash tuner with gears to do that. with the tuner you can put in your gear ratio and take off the speed gov if wanted

Will the computer flash also retune the odometer to track correct mileage? That was my other concern.
