how come when headers or any aftermarket parts r advertised.. it says like a 25-30 hp gain for headers... and apparently depdning on the motor.. u dont get that much power increased.. dont understand

 

They don't telll you that the car getting that horsepower is not stock.

 

FOr the most part they expect a person with LT headers to be running an off road midpipe and a better catback. They are basically saying that with FULL EXHAUST you will see gains of up to 30 rwhp. With just LT headers you may see 15hp to the wheels.

 

headers on a stock 5.0 yield little gain....

 

you could see a 25hp gain from long tube headers for sure

 

you dont always gain with LT"s ive seen losses....

 

if you had P&P, full exhaust, & cam(s).... the you will prolly see gains up too 30hp from headers lol

 

they do that to make money...and people fall for it

 

Its kinda false advertising, i was at Milan dragway and saw the dynomax test car, it was a 460 in a 85 GT the thing through FULL exhaust, along with high flow cats ran 9.50's ALL DAY. So Im sure if you put the stock stuff on that youd lose 30 hp. . Dont believe the hype.
