Coolant Pumping in Wrong Direction

Coolant Pumping in Wrong Direction
I have a 96 mustang GT that i just had engine work done to. After spending about 6k on the engine the shop cannot seem to fix a problem that they created. They are telling me that the engine coolant is trying to pump in the wrong direction thus causing the engine to overheat. They went to ford and got another pump and double checked to make sure the fins were spinning the right way. They even removed the thermostat and still not working. The top hose colapses after a few minutes and then the car starts to overheat. Please help as I dont think these guys can figure this out.

RE: Coolant Pumping in Wrong Direction
6K on the engine..as in a new engine? Is it spinning clockwise? Did they route the belt the right way? Are they using the same waterpump that came off the old engine? You mentioned they installed a new one, but if the engine is rotating the wrong way, then you're 'right' water pump would work wrong.
