car does not start
i have a 89 mustang and my car does not start when it is hot outside. It starts when it sits for a while and cools down. When it heats up and i turn it off and then go to start it back up it does not turn on. What can be wrong with it?
i know this isnt good for your car but when its hard to start just pump the gas a little and see if it starts up. i had the same problem and it helped. when they did emmissions on my stang it fixed the problem. they had to fix a bunch of stuff for it to pass and it solved my hard starting.
It doesn't make a clicking sound. It cranks like it is about to turn on but it never does. Sometimes it kinda turns on and then shuts off. I have to open the hood and wait about 20 minutes for it to cool down then it starts up fine
I had a similar problem and it was the starter, i got a new factory ford starter and put a $15 heat blanket on it and havent had a problem since. it did the exact same thing, but mine would crank real slow some times depending on how hot the engine was and sometimes it wouldent crank at all makeing the same noise as yours, it was really weard but it's fine now.
