Default Repairing mounting tabs on door pulls?

The tab on the back of my driver's side door pull is broken off and I don't really want to pay $60 for a new one from LateModelResto since I intend to repaint my vinyl interior pieces anyway..

Is there any way to bond some sort of tab to the door pull so I can secure my door pull a little better? It pops out every time I close my door, and it drives me NUTS.

It's really too bad that I need a convertible-specific door pull. I think the coupe pulls sell for $35 or less, and used ones are readily available on ebay all the time..

The only thing I could think of is like a gorilla glue or something, strongest stuff I know that isn't more expensive than $60/tube.
