Noise after hitting curb
A few days ago I hit a curb going pretty fast. Ended up having to replace shocks, control arm, and a few other parts on my front left wheel. I noticed a little noisce coming from what I thought was the windshield area. I opened my hood and pushed down on the suspension. Theres a little squeak sound, its louder while your are driving over bumps or turning and inside the car. I was just wondering if it had to do with the steering or any thing that is important. I was thinking afterword it could just be the new shock making the noise, but I rember the same noise on the ride home after hitting the curb. Should it be any thing to worry about? The car drives fine so every thing seems fine with me, just thought I would check on here.
Yes, it would be. Did you notice if the noise started before or after the repair? If it started after the repair they could have not gotten the bolts all the way tight or don't have the spring correctly seated into the pocket.
I noticed it before I took it to the shop, I'm pretty sure it was the same. I drove it to school today and back and didnt notice it nearly as much, but I also had the windows down. I'll go check and see if it still does it as much as it did.
