Im getting ready to buy my first ford mustang. It is a 2000 ford mustang gt convertible and I had a question about the hood release cable. I have never owned or seen a cable like these and was just wondering if they're reliable without them breaking when you pull on the cable to open the hood? If they do break are they easy to fix and are the cables still easy to find if I need to replace it

 

i have a 94 and my cable is still in great shape...

 

It's not a problematic or known issue,more or less bad luck on this one I'd say.
