Ok, first off I know this is a Stang site, but I tried the Olds site but nobody has answered. There is an 87 Olds Cutlass on a lot near my house. Needs bodywork and paint, but the interior is in great shape and all parts are attached. I used to own an 81 and it was a good car.

Question :

How difficult/ expensive would a 6.1 (LS1, WS6 or like)engine swap be into this car. I was on ebay and found a few around $4K. I know the rear would most likely need to be changed. The idea would be to have a sleeper with 300 - 400 hp. Opinions, suggestions would be appreciated.
