Im a joke? I (16 yrs old) bought my 99 v6 with 80k miles last october for 5 grand. i cashier and bag groceries at a grocery store and can afford my car and then some- at 16! so get a clue and get an education. then put your business and negotiating skills to the test and go find yourself a car. get what you want. im trying to help guide your decision and save you money. ignorance on your behalf will get you nowhere man.
hate me if you want but ive been around cars my entire life and there are many members here that would back my stance on this "debate". good luck in life bro. i hope you get what you want.

ok, im in GA and there is a lot near me advertising a 2000 v6 for 5500 dollars and it has 78k miles. it is in really good condition.. has a couple of small key marks but is clean and unnoticeable. it is a white coupe. im sure you could talk them down to 4800 or so.
it sucks that you cant find the deals that are all over my town. no matter what car you get though, keep in mind... if you are getting a stang of any kind, the higher the miles the worse b/c most owners beat up on stangs.

The cardomain site of that 94' changed to a 99+ model style has the 94-98 *** still on it. But it looks like they had to do some metal or fiberglass work to make the transission smooth. Most of it is bolt ons but when it comes to making the doors fit the rear or the doors fit the front (Whichever you choose) then you are going to be working with it for a minute. For the front clip its not too expensive, expect about a grand into it but there are underlying problems such as wiring harnesses for the headlights. The metalwork is what will kill you in price.
You can buy most everything you need on ebay and at local wrecking/dismantler yards. But honestly I would not do the conversion, for the money that you will eventually be putting into it it wouldnt be worth it unless your going for some full custome job that is for show and crap. If you get a 94-98 Body then enjoy it, personally I think they are the best looking yet, I dont really care for the 99-04 style unless its on a Mach1 or a Cobra.
Prices of mustangs are dropping dramaticly, the new mustang is begining to flood the market and with the excitment stirring from the new Cobra coming its going to become a craze. If you just save your pennies I can pretty much say that you will be able to afford a 99-04 GT or Mach1. You can get a 99 GT for under 10k and a Mach1 for about 12-16k right now. All you have to do is shop around and haggle with people on the price, learn how to become a salemen. Your still young and dont quite have the grasp of things yet. Someone may be asking 5000 for a 94' V6 mustang but really they are just hoping for $2500. People ALWAYS aim high when selling their car so that there is haggling room to debate the price. My 95' V6 stang was $5500 when I went to buy her but I talked him down to $3900 and a detail job on the car. That was a little more then 2 years ago! 70,000 miles later my engine overheated and cracked the head and intake and now I have a brand smankin new engine for it. I have a 2003 Mach1 engine for her, I only paid $3380 for the whole freakin conversion (Trans, motor, all wiring, whole front suspension clip) I am rebuilding the whole car because of how much I love it and its costing me about the price of another car, but the only diff will be that I will have about 600hp and a fully built car. I am estimating about $10,000 total into the car with all the bells and whistles, the biggest chunk is already out of the way. By the way, no Flash and glimmer on this car, its pure sport
But my point was that I got a 95' V6 for $3900 over two years ago and I live in california, probably one of the most expensive most inflated states to live in. I know that Virginia doesnt cost half as much to live in as California does.
Just do a little research, save a little and get your dream car, you'll be so much happiers. And I really hope things get better with your family, i know how that can be.
