I'm thinking of grabbing a 06 GT stang. I noticed I can smell a burning
oil smell out around the car after driving a short while. I can't smell it inside the car,
and I can't smell it directly around the car after it's shut off. Just while the car is running outside.

I can detect a faint smell if I stick my nose directly in the engine compartment when it's cold.

I suppose someone may have just spilled a bit of oil on the last change, but
don't know if it could be something else. I don't think it's burning oil through
the exaust.

There is also a little clunk when pressing the accelerator in 3rd.

It is from a dealership and they have "ford certified" it.

It's a really good price and looks immaculate and that's about all I can find
wrong.

Are these issues things that I should reconsider my purchase?

 

if its ford certified then you shouldnt have to worry about it

 

What kind of $$$$ and how many miles??
