short throw shifters
i am wanting to get a new shifter for my mustang but have no experience with them and want opinions on the different brands and types so let me know what u have had experience with and what u liked and didnt like i gues.
this is as far as MGW goes and STS in general. CliffyK is a good guy to ask about shifters. the reason i know about this thread is becase it is me he is talking about in his post. im planning on getting an MGW myself.

I run a B&M short throw shifter solely for the positive stops just for insurance.
They do have a more precision feel but honestly I hate the "short throw". This is not marvel engineering. They basically decreased the leverage you have on the transmission in exchange for a shorter throw. Shorter throw equals a notchier feel.
The best combination I've found is an aftermarket shifter with a lengthed handle. I've extended mine 1.5". So I have the stops, the precision, the leverage and reduced notchiness.
