Worth it for a v6?
Currently I have a 1998 V6 Auto Stang and I'm hessitant about putting any money into this car. My last car was a 95 Metro[looks away, how pathetic] and thank god I found this mustang in good shape and a decent price. It was the biggest diference I have ever felt. I went from this little piece of shat to something I knew could have some serious power. I went from a 1 liter (!) to a 3.8 and it made all the difference. In the metro I felt like an idiot, but the mastang was nice and changed everything. I was planning on doing some decent mods, but now I'm not sure. I dont want to put money into something that isnt as appealing as a v8, something that value is going to drop anyways. In short, something I wont get my money back. I have a 67 coupe in my basement that I am slowly restoring, do you guys think I should do anything with the 98 or wait and go craazy with 67. I already have most of the engine together, 351W. Atleast this car will only go up in value and big v8s are appealing. Opinions?
I have a GT and there are times I wish I had a V6. Those times are when I am paying for my insurance and at the gas pump. My advice is to do whatever is going to make you the happiest in the long run.
When you finish the 67, what's it worth to you? What is it worth if you decide to sell it? If it were up to me and I had the space, I'd keep both. I can't imagine putting in all that work to restore a car and not keep it. I'd save it for weekend driving or showing it and use the 98 as a daily driver.

I think I might just do some little things wit hthe 98 to make it look nicer, but I wanna go all out on the 67! I think that 351 could push some serious horsepower with a few bolt ons!Definitly wont be a daily driver.
NOOO v-8s are always worth the money
you can make a v-6 run but it will cost you more you wont get
that much better gas mileage and you cant get the good sound of a
mustang gt with aftermarket exhaust. but if its your baby then go for it.

There are times where you are going to LOVE the gas mileage of your sixer and really regret it after you start modding it. Do some visual mods on the 98 and spend some big bucks on the 67 stang
, like you said man go all out on it. That way, you don't have two cars that both have ****ty gas mileage.

That 67 is a classic and will always be appealing. I would make it so your 98 looks nice (no big wings/ricer crap) but not go to much into performance stuff. I would put most of my money into the 67. That way you could have a really badass car to take out on nice days, and with a 351w you could easily push some serious power while staying N/A with just some bolt ons. But do whatever you like most. It doesn't sound like you plan on racing that 98 around everywhere so just make it so it looks good and rides nice. Then you could have your little drag/show type car sitting in your garage, and when your 70 it will still be badass, and a piece of muscle car history.
If your doing this just for resell value then I dont think your in the right hobby. And there is nothing wrong with owning a commuter car.
Go to www.SuperSixMotorSports.com and check out some of their cars, they are far from dissapointing. The only reason why I did a V8 swap into my 95' Six Banger is because my engine let go and it was $5000 for their hottest shat to get me into the 700hp range.
I paid $3380 for my 03' Mach 1 conversion and then $1850 for my Livernois forged 302 stroker kit. In all about the same price I guess but there is still work I need to have done to my motor to make it breath propperly, I dont like my intake manifold and I am toying with the idea of an Eaton M112. I will probably have $8000-9000 into my engine alone when its completed.
The V6 would have been $5000 for the long block but no accessories but with a CNC sheetmetal intake. I was going to go with a Twin Turbo setup for a long *** time but went this way. Both would have cost more and ended out about the same for about the same ponies. I was just blinded by the 305hp stock, V8 and Mach1 glories.
I would build that little V6, but do what you want and dont sell either.
